KDH440 Best of My Love

This was our 23rd year spending Thanksgiving week in OBX. As our family has grown, we’ve needed to rent larger and larger houses. This house met all our needs for a group of 22. The large dining table sat the entire group! The house layout is wonderful, the kitchen is the best working kitchen we’ve stayed in. 3.5 ovens, 3 fridges and a commercial cook top! Having two hot tubs was great! And the pub room fantastic. All bedrooms have private baths. All complaints were minor - movie room chairs were uncomfortable, we ran into minor issues with projection tv in movie room (typical for all large rentals); overall tvs in house could use updating but honestly we don’t watch much tv (and they all work and get streaming services!) and for cost of house they could provide higher quality bath towels. All minor complaints. This was our favorite house in 23 yrs renting in OBX. Wonderful house that won’t disappoint and Coastal Carolina provide great service. All calls were promptly responded to. We have already reserved house for next year!

This house was the perfect spot to host our family reunion! We had 25 guests ranging in age from 4-77 years old and we had everything we needed to make our time enjoyable. The house is exactly as described and provides each guest with their own generous bedroom and bathroom- this was a must for our group! It’s enormous and surprisingly, even with a large group of people, very quiet once you are in your room. The pool and two hot tubs were wonderful, especially in April- it was nice to have a heated pool. The lights at the pool area and inside the pool at nighttime were great! Our family spent a lot of time in the pub area, playing pool and poker. There were 5 full size refrigerators throughout the house- which was amazing! 3 in the kitchen, 1 in the pub and 1 at the pool bar. We had plenty of space for cooking meals, 3 ovens, 3 dishwashers, a wine fridge too! The 2 washer and dryers were a must and worked well! Elevator was great for bringing in groceries and luggage. Check in and out was easy! The automatic code was ready at 1pm- we were given a complimentary early check in which was excellent. And check out was a breeze as well- just texted the number provided that we were checked out and that was it! The maintenance crew came to clean the pool and hot tubs twice during our week long stay, which was greatly appreciated. We would definitely suggest this house for a large group of people- it was amazing!

If you have a large group who like to do their own thing during the day and gather together at night this is the perfect house. This year we had 30 people and there is so much space we didn’t feel crowded at all. The staff at Coastal Carolina OBX is fantastic and great to work with!

Our group of 32 adults had to find the perfect house for our retreat. It was challenging, but we found one. Then, just a week or so before our event, a staff member from Coastal Carolina called to let us know the elevator of the house wouldn't be operational. This was a bust since several of our people have mobility concerns. Coastal Carolina was accommodating in every way. They offered us this house instead. (If this house wouldn't work, they offered a full refund. And if we decided to stay in the other house without an elevator, they offered to meet us on our arrival/departure days or any time we went grocery shopping to help us with the stairs!) We decided on this house, Best of My Love. It was perfect for us! The furniture was nice quality, everything was in good condition, and the game room was a hit. Since it was off-season, the deck furniture wasn't positioned around the pool or on the deck above the pool, which would've been nice, but we made it work. The hot tubs were clean. The beach in front of the house was nice (though there was a large drainage system that extended into the water from the public beach access, if you have little ones who like to explore, that might be something to be mindful of, but it doesn't block the beach). Overall, I highly recommend using Coastal Carolina Rentals because they went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our stay.

The house was very spacious and comfortable. We have rented different homes for the last 3 years and this was the largest as we had a very large group. As with any house, there are often issues during a stay. Whenever we reached out to Costal Carolina with questions or issues, they were prompt to send out someone to check the issues and fix it or contact someone to repair. That was much better than our previous experiences. The Irish bar was a fabulous add that we used often for games and just hanging out - no other house had such an elaborate recreation area! The pool and two hot tubs also a better than previous homes. It is a recurring large family vacation and the house made it very enjoyable. Thank you.

We had an awesome week at this beautiful house! There was plenty of room for our large family. The one thing that some family members commented on was the beds. They said they felt like they were on a slant. Maybe some new mattresses are needed? Otherwise, we had a fantastic and enjoyable week! Thank you!

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We have look into the mattress situation and found someone had flipped some of the box springs upside down, therefore giving no support to those specific beds. Once they were placed correctly, beds seem to be as they should be. Thank you for making us aware of this. We hope to see you again in the future!

We arrived early and had access to the pool & beach area only. Great to have a pool bar and outdoor shower changing rooms until the house was ready. Managing company was very responsive to an issue with the cloudy pool and problems with the Cable TV. The house was well decorated with ample kitchen and pub area accessories for a busy chef oriented family. We thoroughly enjoyed this home after staying in smaller OBX homes in the past.

This home worked perfectly for our large family/friend vacation this year. With 14 kids in attendance, being right on the ocean couldn’t be beat. The theatre room and pub were a huge hit! We had a few items that needed attended too upon arrival. One phone call into maintenance and they were promptly handled. Best vacation to OBX yet and we have been coming for the last 13 years!

It was our first time renting with Coastal Carolina. We had an amazing time and we are already planning our next stay.. The house was the perfect accommodation for our family which included my mother, my siblings, our children, grandchildren and significant others. There were a few minor issues, however whenever we call they immediately sent someone out to take care of the issues.

This is I think the 6th time we have rented this property for our group of friends. The setup of this house works for us. The bar and second floor deck are the ultimate evening hangout spots for everyone.
