Perfect house for my family! They had all sorts of things to make it fun— kayak, beach chairs, nets for crab fishing.

Perfect beach house. They had everything we needed for a family vacation to the beach. House was clean, towels and linens were fresh, and they even had things like beach chairs, and fishing things to use! Also, was walking distance to grocery store and beach!

Kitchen not furnished upon arrival with basic items such as baking sheets, casserole dish, small measuring items, nothing to light the grill, no batteries in bottom room remote for tv, etc. These were furnished after calling. Inconvenienced. The tv downstairs never worked unfortunately despite having a twch come out and state it was working. One channel, freezing up, unable to use. Customer service teammates were helpful and kind. They allowed us in the home earlier than stated check in. The sticking of the home and tv were the disappointments.

Family enjoyed the week between Christmas and New Year's at this charming cottage. Space was just enough for two couples, or a small family. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed sitting and watching the water when the weather wasn't good for outdoor activities. Beds are comfortable as are the sofa and seats in the living room. We like to cook, and the kitchen layout was good for us. The only thing we missed was a can opener! Would definitely come back for another visit.

This was the perfect location in Nags Head with a beautiful view of the sounds. Check in process was seamless and communication was great. House was clean and had everything we needed. Downstairs room was a perfect place to store my rods and fishing equipment.

Our stay was fabulous! We really enjoyed being right on the water watching the sunsets every night. Getting to the beach was easy, as was parking. It would have been helpful to know ahead of time about the swimming boards and tubs that were available for our use. We had talked about buying them before our trip. We also enjoyed using the crab trap. We caught crabs from the deck and cooked them for dinner. The kids loved that.We didn't know about the hot tub which was enjoyed by all. Thank you!

Beautiful views of the sound. Nice and centrally located. Quick drive to ocean, jockeys ridge, groceries, restaurants, ect. Nice to just be able to sit on the dock, hot tub or deck and look over the water with amazing sunsets! Hope to visit again!

We LOVED this rental! There was plenty of room for our family of 4 (2 adults, 17 and 10 year olds). The kitchen was equipped with everything needed to prepare meals. The house is clean and beds were comfortable. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the barrier islands. It’s close to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping, but in a quiet, safe neighborhood. The pier was phenomenal! We watched amazing sunsets nightly on the sound, caught several catfish off the private pier and enjoyed the relaxing hot tub! We plan to stay again!

Great house. We loved the views. Since the weather did not cooperate for fishing following Hurricane Ian — we turned this into a sightseeing trip. We visited the lighthouses at Corolla, Bode Island and Cape Hatteras. We are great seafood. We took Wild Horse Tour in Corolla. We visited Manteo and the Roanoke Marsh lighthouse. We cooked breakfast at home and ate on the deck. Great Trip. We would stay here again. Great sunsets.

We enjoyed the lovely view of the sound. We fished off the dock. The beach was a 5 minute drive away. Groceries, restaurants, and shopping were very convenient. The hot tub was perfect on the cool nights. We had a great vacation at this lovely home in a beautiful setting.

We loved the location of this property! Been coming to OBX for a very long time and first time staying on the sound. Loved drinking coffee in the morning on the deck (Evensaw a handful of dolphins swim through! One even came up to the dock, it was amazing to see them so close!!) You could tell the house had been updated in recent years and the owners did a nice job. The only suggestion that I would have would be to get a new mattress for the upstairs bedroom. (And pillows). Overall, this is a great place on the sound!

This lovely home has everything you need, is in a quiet neighborhood, and is the perfect spot for exploring north or south. We loved relaxing in the hammock and fishing right off the dock. We also loved watching the sunset and watching for shooting stars streaming across the Milky Way. This home is perfect for families - we will be back!!!

This property was perfection for our family of 6 ( Me - mom and three grown 22-25-28 yo daughters with son in law and boy friend.). The home is well equipped and had everything we needed. Sunsets were amazing . Every night the view was spectacular. Swimming in the warm, shallow sound right off the deck was fabulous. We appreciated the kayak and had fun in the hot tub. The beach was so close too! I need to work on my crab catching technique so we will have to come back ! This is a great house.

I stayed at Christine's wonderful property with my parents, husband, and infant daughter. The location and setting of the home could not be better. Close to everything you would need, easy drive to multiple beach access points, incredible sound views all day and gorgeous sunsets every night; what more could you want! Christine was very responsive to our questions and the size/layout of the house was perfect for us. We loved sitting under the house in the shade during the afternoons. We had not been to OBX in 20 years and there's so much to do and see! Thank you Christine; we greatly enjoyed the stay and will be back!

Had an absolute great week at this home. Such a convenient location in a great neighborhood. Communication was excellent with the owner although we didnt have any issues with our stay at all. Just check in process which was an absolte breeze. Second time staying at this home and sitting on that dock with a rod and a beer when the sun goes down will never get old.

The property saved our vacation. We were caught in a rare storm for Spring and had very strong winds, rain, and dangerous coastal conditions. The house fit us perfectly and kept us safe and cozy. We brought indoor activities with us, but the protected hot tub allowed us some relaxation in the cool weather after the worst of the storm had passed. We thought the property was clean, private, and very quiet. A Fresh Market grocery is close by. Grits n Grill and the Blue Moon were good restaurants and very close. The owner does a great job of providing a high quality home to stay in, but it isn’t too fancy. You can be “beachy” comfortable, and the deck, dock, and ground floor (where the hot tub is) is just perfect for quiet days/ evenings. Kitty Hawk museum is 10min North. Being on the sunset side of the island was a huge plus and we will repeat this experience again. Dow

There are tens of thousands of rental properties on the outer banks. We were looking for a good home base to explore the natural areas and history of the OBX. This property was perfect for us. It is in an older neighborhood and is on the Albemarle Sound side facing directly west. The deck is about 25 feet from the water and when you are in the living room it feels like you are right on the water. We spent every afternoon enjoying the sun, water, and many birds that frequent the neighborhood. If you are a beach person, it is less than five minutes away. The owner has maintained this older property well and it has all the amenities you'd need. We visited in early spring and while there were a few locals who live in the neighborhood, most of the properties were vacant making it incredibly quiet. I also really appreciated how responsive the owner was to questions and she refunded my deposit faster than any other rental I've had on VRBO. Plan to watch the sunset every night, it is the greatest show in town!

This was our second year renting this home and it was just as good if not better! The location is perfect as it is only minutes away from the hub of everything. The beach was an easy 5 minute drive with easy parking. But more importantly the house has the most GORGEOUS views of the sound. The pier was perfect for crabbing and fishing. The sunsets were breathtaking! House is very clean and well equipped with everything you need. Plus the hot tub was just what the doctor ordered after a long day on the beach with our very active 10 year old…Lol Thank you Christine for another memorable vacation!

The house was spotless when we arrived. We loved being on the sound and brought paddle boards for everyone to enjoy. The sound was warm and swimmable. We loved the hot tub and voted the outdoor shower the best ever!! It was a very nice neighborhood and convenient to shopping. We tried to tie up our boat but the owner cautioned us it might be difficult due to shifting winds. She was right! Luckily there was a boat ramp right in the neighborhood. This was a beautiful property and we will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed our stay! We came with our two teen daughters and their friends. Everyone seemed to have their own hangout areas - which is great! My husband enjoyed fishing off the pier, the girls enjoyed swimming, I loved the views and the breeze! Fully equipped kitchen made making dinners easy. The neighborhood is quiet and we would definitely love to return again for another getaway!

Easy check in and out. Owner’s answered all questions we had. It’s a cute house mainly stayed outside downstairs. The air flow made it cool outside. wish it had a extra bathroom and a fridge down there that would have made it perfect! They do provide a cooler which was nice. The private dock was awesome to have!! Overall it was a great stay.

This home is on a dead end and nice & quiet. We had a wonderful week! The only rec I have for future rentals is to remove linens included as that was a last min change we weren't expecting. Otherwise the property was a peaceful place to relax which is what we were looking to do.

We enjoyed our first visit so much last August we couldn't wait to come back. We will miss the views, sunsets, and the house. I liked the addition of the kayak since our last visit and got to take it out on the sound. The covered downstairs patio with hot tub, hammock, and private pier continue to delight. . 5 min to grocery stores, restaurants, both soundside and ocean beaches, mini-golf, and more makes this a great family spot!

We visited in the winter, but were still able to enjoy the hot tub, the dock (for fishing), and the beautiful views of the sound, especially the sunsets, which were breathtaking. We also rented a bike and rode around the neighborhood and to the beach and visited Jockey's Ridge State Park (just a couple minutes away) for hiking and kite flying. The property had everything we needed for a restful and fun stay and Christine was very helpful and quick to respond.

My family and I enjoyed a fantastic stay here - the home is so clean and charming, and you just can’t beat the views of the sound from the house, the hammock, or of course the pier. On the chillier days, we loved hanging out on the sunny balcony deck and in the hot tub. The sunsets were fabulous. There is plenty of room for a family of four, and the kitchen is very well stocked (no issues whatsoever cooking up Thanksgiving dinner!). Christine was very helpful and responsive. It’s an excellent location close to anything you’d like to do in Nags Head. Highly recommend!

This property is as advertised. The pictures are right on, but the actual view is even better! The hot tub area and pier were the perfect place to end the day. The sunsets were beautiful! The house was clean and is set up nicely with two outside showers (with one right next to the hot tub, which was perfect for rinsing off). In my opinion the house size is perfect for one/two couples or a small family. The location was awesome. It only took us a few minutes to get to the beach and we took a trip to Hatteras Lighthouse which took about an hour. It is centrally located to shops, grocery stores and Jockey's Ridge. We would love to stay again!

We just had the perfect family vacation at this gem of a place. Stunning views and beautiful sunsets - we miss them already! Loved everything about this house, especially the covered downstairs patio with hot tub, hammock, and access to the private pier which our kids loved for crabbing and flying kites. The house is newly renovated and fully equipped with everything you need. It's clear the owners have put a lot of thought and consideration into making this place a great stay for guests. Great location - 5 min to grocery stores, restaurants, and the beach. First time staying on the sound side and it definitely won't be our last - we can't wait to come back next summer!

One of the things that we look at as a family when going to the beach is the location of our lodging. This beach house is perfect for those with small families who want immediate access to swimming, boating, fishing and just a great view. The house is fully equipped with everything needed for a week stay. The location is convenient to grocery stores, shopping and entertainment. The dock made the rental perfect for boating, swimming and other water sports. And the hot tub was great after a long day of beaching it. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed in several different locations in the Outer Banks and this was our favorite. It is a short drive to stores, restaurants and the public beach access. We were happy to stay at the house and play in the sandy bottomed sound. The water was warm and our kids enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking off the dock. The house was clean, had everything we needed and communication was easy with the owner. We look forward to returning.

We were pleasantly surprised at how much we loved staying on the sound side. This property was a perfect location in our opinion. We enjoyed the warmer water, sandy beach in front of the home, then when we wanted the ocean- it was a quick less than 5 minutes away!! Also, The community pool was closely located.
